Worrying is a sin. Let's look at a couple bible verses about worry:
Matthew 6:27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
My biggest fear is losing someone else that I love! Also, something happening to my husband and me that would leave my baby girls orphans.
I will be flying soon. Oh boy... just typing that brings anxiety. I used to love to fly, but since I've gotten older and have my girls I just get really nervous about it now. Anyway, my amazing hubs & myself will be going on a vacation by ourselves for the first time since our honeymoon. This year we are celebrating 10 years of marriage and treating ourselves to some fun in the sun together. So, what does the enemy want to do? He wants to rob me of my fun and quality time with da hubs. He wants to put negative thoughts and worries into my head and he wants me to dwell on those things!
2 Timothy 1:7 says For God hasn't given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
This has been my life verse. I have to focus on this verse A LOT. This tells me that my worries & fears are not of God! I will not let the enemy destroy me! My God is so much bigger than this.
Psalm 55:22 says Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.
1Peter 5:7 says Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
So, ya know what? That's EXACTLY what I'm gonna do! That ol' devil's not gonna have this hold over me! God has a perfect plan for my life and he's got this! I read this quote recently that I love...
Worrying doesn't empty tomorrow of it's troubles. It empties today of it's strength! That is truth! I'm gonna get on a plane and I'm gonna have fabulous fun in the sun with the love of my life!
